Cow Families and Genetics
We believe every cow on our farm has the genetics to produce 50,000# annually. We don't focus on strictly high milk yield or genomics. We focus on "balance". We breed for high performance animals using deep pedigreed, high TPI sires breeding for outstanding type and high production from udders that work and wear. Our goal is a cow that milks 150#/day while living in freestalls. She has a beautiful udder, plenty of dairy strength, and walks on exceptional feet and legs. We aim for "silent cows" - those cows that show up every day, do their job and have virtually no health events.
